Certain apps and categories of online content are blocked for each content filter level in NETGEAR Smart Parenal Controls (SPC). For example, in the child filter, the Instagram and Twitter apps are blocked. Dating, mature, and gambling content is also blocked.
You can manually allow or block individual apps or online content categories for each of your family member's SPC profile filters.
To manage content level category settings for your SPC profiles:
- Launch the Orbi or Nighthawk app.
- Tap Parental Controls.
- Tap the profile to manage content level categories on.
The Settings tab displays. - Select Apps & Websites or Categories.
- To block or allow an app or category, tap on the icon nex to the content you want to manage and choose one of the following options:
- Set as Not Allowed: Your child cannot access this content at any time.
- Set as Allowed: Your child can access this content, but limits (Off Times, Bedtimes) and usage and history tracking are active. This is the default setting for most apps and categories.
- Set as Unlimited (unmanaged): Your child can acess this content without any restrictions. This content is always available and usage and history tracking are not active.
- Tap Save.
