To activate NETGEAR Armor on your Orbi mesh system, you must use the Orbi app and your NETGEAR account credentials. If you have a Nighthawk router, see How do I activate NETGEAR Armor using the Nighthawk app?
Before activating Armor, make sure that your Orbi is running the latest firmware. If you experience activation problems, your firmware might not be up-to-date. For more information about manually updating your firmware, see How do I update firmware using the Orbi App?.
To activate NETGEAR Armor using the Orbi app:
- Connect your mobile device to your Orbi's WiFi network.
- Launch the Orbi app.
The Dashboard displays. - Tap Security.
The NETGEAR Armor page displays. - Tap Activate.
Note: It might take about five seconds to verify your NETGEAR account credentials.
NETGEAR Armor activates. - Tap Security from your Orbi app dashboard to launch NETGEAR Armor.
