How do I invite Someone to a VPN Group Using the Insight App?

Before you can create and invite users to your VPN group, you first need to purchase a virtual private network (VPN) license. For more information, see How do I buy an Insight Instant VPN subscription plan?. After you create a VPN group, each VPN group supports three routers. Each router supports ten users.

To invite a new user to your VPN group in the NETGEAR Insight app:

  1. Launch the NETGEAR Insight app.
  2. If you are an Insight Pro user with access to more than one organization, select your organization.
  3. If you set up more than one location in Insight, tap the drop-down bar at the top of the page and select your location.
  4. Tap your router.
  5. Tap VPN Group.

    Your VPN groups are shown.

    If you are using Insight Pro, all of the VPN groups for the organization are listed.

  6. Click the user icon that is located above the cloud icon.
  7. In the top right, tap +.
  8. Enter an email address and tap Invite.

    An invitation is emailed. They new user must follow the instructions in the email message to gain access.

  9. To track the status of the invitation, tap Routers > Settings > VPN Users.

    The access status of each invitation is displayed next to each person's email address.
