To add a device to a virtual private network (VPN) group using the Insight Cloud Portal, you first must purchase a VPN license to create the VPN group. For more information, see How Do I Purchase a VPN License?. Each VPN group supports three routers and each router supports ten users. Devices that are added to your VPN group create site-to-site VPN tunnels between locations. For more information, see How do I create a VPN group using the Insight Cloud Portal?.

Remote VPN is available with Windows clients only.

To add a device to a VPN group in the Insight Cloud Portal:

  1. Access the Insight Cloud Portal.
  2. If you are an Insight Pro user with access to more than one organization, select your organization.
  3. Select your location.
  4. Select Routers.
  5. Under the name of your VPN group, inside the circle, click + above Add Device.
  6. Select the device or devices to add.You cannot add a device that has the same IP address or subnet address range as your router.

    Conflicting LAN subnet are changed automatically, which could disrupt the network at these sites. For more information, see What causes subet conflicts between routers on VPN and how can I avoid them?.

  7. Click Save.
    The router that you added displays in the circle for the VPN group.
