Before you can set up your Orbi Pro WiFi System to work with Insight, you must set up your Insight account and create an Insight network location. For more information, see the following knowledge base articles:
Then, decide whether you want to use your Orbi Pro as a router or as an access point:
- If you do not have a router or you want to replace your current router, use your Orbi Pro as a router.
- If you already have a router, but you want to use your Orbi Pro to extend the router’s range, use your Orbi Pro as an access point.
To set up your Orbi Pro WiFi System to work with Insight:
- Set up your Orbi Pro using the instructions in the included Installation Guide or in this knowledge base article: How do I set up my Orbi Pro WiFi 6 network using Insight?
If you want to use Orbi Pro as an access point, you can connect Orbi Pro to your router or to a switch in your network. You only need to connect the Orbi Pro router directly to your modem if you want to use it in router mode.
- If you have add-on Orbi Pro satellites, sync them to your Orbi Pro router.
