ReadyDR, a new feature introduced for Business-class (x86 based) ReadyNAS in OS version 6.6.0, makes a backup of the snapshots on a share or LUN.
ReadyNAS Vault is a cloud backup solution pre-installed or readily available on all ReadyNAS systems as an installable application. Backup anything on your ReadyNAS to secure, offsite servers with no additional hardware to manage. ReadyNAS Vault is an added layer of protection, ideal for achieving geographic redundancy for data stored on your ReadyNAS.
RAID is not a protection if you experience a hardware failure. Snapshots, which can restore data from a specific period, do not help if you lose access to your data volume. Snapshots are not a backup.
