Quality of Service (QoS) is an advanced feature that prioritizes internet traffic for applications, online gaming, Ethernet LAN ports, or specified MAC addresses to minimize the impact of busy bandwidth.
To enable QoS on routers using the NETGEAR web interface:

- Connect a computer to the NETGEAR router and launch a web browser.
- Visit http://www.routerlogin.com. If http://www.routerlogin.com does not work, try the following:
- http://www.routerlogin.net
- http://192.168.1.1
- http://192.168.0.1
- http://10.0.0.1

- You are prompted to enter a username and password. Enter the following default login credentials:
Note: Username and password are both case sensitive.- Username: admin
- Password: password
Note: If the default login credentials do not work, you might have changed the admin password. If you cannot remember your new password, you must perform a factory reset to restore the router to its factory default settings. The NETGEAR web interface displays.
- Click ADVANCED > Setup > QoS setup.
- Click Setup QoS rule > Add Priority Rule.
To set up the priority for an application or online gaming:
- Under Priority Category, select Applications or Online Gaming from the list.
- Under Applications select the internet application or game you want to use.
- Under Priority, select the priority level: Highest, High, Normal, or Low.
- Click Apply.
To set up the priority for computers connected to a Ethernet LAN port:
- Under Priority Category, select Ethernet LAN Port from the list.
- Under LAN Port select the LAN Port you want to use: 1, 2, 3, or 4.
- Under Priority, select the priority level: Highest, High, Normal, or Low.
- Click Apply.
To set up the priority for a specified computer through its MAC address:
- Under Priority Category, select MAC Address from the list.
- Select the entry's radio button in the table.
- Under Priority, select the priority level: Highest, High, Normal, or Low.
- Click Apply.
To delete a service entry:
- Click ADVANCED > Setup > QoS setup.
- Click Setup QoS rule.
- Select the entry radio button in the table.
- Click Delete.
- Click Apply.
