If you are experiencing problems with your NETGEAR product, you can contact NETGEAR support so that an expert can troubleshoot your problems and issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) if it is defective. Before requesting an RMA, you must register your NETGEAR product. For more information, see How do I register a product on MyNETGEAR?
To request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) for your NETGEAR product:
- Visit the NETGEAR Account Login page.
- Enter the email and password associated with your MyNETGEAR account.
Note: If you do not have a MyNETGEAR account, see How do I create a MyNETGEAR account? - Click or tap LOG IN > PRODUCTS > My Registered Products.
- Select the product that you want to request an RMA for.
- Click or tap REQUEST HARDWARE SUPPORT.
The Request hardware support form displays. - Use the text box to describe the issues that you are experiencing with your NETGEAR product.
To send additional files like data logs or screenshots with your RMA request, select Attach File and choose the files to include. - Click or tap SEND to send your RMA request.
An expert reviews the provided information to determine if your device is defective and if an RMA is needed.
If your product is determined to be defective, NETGEAR generates an RMA number and you receive an email with a link to the online portal that guides you through the RMA process. Upon completion of the process, your RMA number and full instructions for returning your defective unit are emailed to you.
What should I include with my return shipment?
Include only the defective hardware. Do not include accessories when shipping an RMA product. NETGEAR does not replace accessories, such as power adapters and wall mounts.
How should I ship the return?
You must pay for the cost of shipping your defective product to NETGEAR. We suggest that you use a carrier that provides tracking information. NETGEAR is not responsible for packages lost in transit to NETGEAR. We ship the replacement product by ground with the shipping charges prepaid. Expedited shipping is available at an extra cost.
