The Anywhere Access feature enables you to use the Nighthawk or Orbi app to manage your NETGEAR or Orbi router’s settings from anywhere with your Android or iOS device.
Anywhere Access is enabled by default to give you reliable access to your router. Even when you're at home, the Nighthawk or Orbi app might not be able to locally detect your router if you use a VPN, custom DNS settings, or access points. Because Anywhere Access uses NETGEAR’s secure cloud services to connect you to your router, it can detect and manage your NETGEAR or Orbi router regardless of any advanced network configurations.
To manage your NETGEAR or Orbi router with Anywhere Access, you must authenticate your identity by logging into your NETGEAR single sign-on (SSO) account. You can add a layer of security by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).
