You can assign one of two roles to a router in a business VPN group: central or remote.
In an Insight Business VPN group, your main office router is the central router and branch and employee home office routers are remote routers.
Remote routers in a Business VPN group support the following modes:
- Employee home: Use this mode for a router installed in a home office. Routers in employee home mode are partially manageable in Insight and are not manageable in the local user interface. A security feature called router isolation is only available in employee home mode. This feature limits the router's access and communication to other routers in a Business VPN group. - Branch office: Use this mode for a router installed in a branch office. Routers in branch office mode are fully manageable in Insight and the local user interface.
