This article provides troubleshooting information if the router and satellite of your new RBK13 are not syncing during installation.
If the LED on your RBS10 satellite is blinking white or solid amber, you might need to perform one of the following:
- Factory reset your satellite and manually sync your satellite and router using the sync button
- Manually sync your router and satellite using the sync button
To factory reset your satellite and manually sync your satellite and router using the sync button:
- Place your RBS10 satellite near your Orbi router.
- Make sure your satellite is powered on.
The Power LED on the front of your Orbi satellite lights. If the Power LED does not light, make sure that the power adapter is plugged in properly. - Using a paper clip or similar object, press and hold the Reset button located on the back of your satellite until the Power LED on your satellite pulses white.
Your Orbi satellite is reset. - Wait for the satellite LED to pulse white again.
- Press the Sync button located on the back of your RBR10 router.
- Within two minutes, press the Sync button on your RBS10 satellite.
When you press the Sync button, the LED on your Orbi satellite lights the following colors:
Solid amber: If the LED is solid amber for 90-180 seconds, your router and satellite failed to sync. We recommend placing your Orbi router and satellite closer to each other.
Solid blue: If the LED is solid blue for 90-180 seconds, your router and satellite successfully synced.
To manually sync your router and satellite using the sync button:
- Place your RBS10 satellite near your Orbi router.
- Make sure your satellite is powered on.

- Press the Sync button located on the back of your RBR10 router.
- Within two minutes, press the Sync button on the back of your RBS10 satellite.
