The maximum number of satellites you can use with your Orbi WiFi System depends on which WiFi standard it supports:
- WiFi 5: We recommend adding a maximum of 6 total satellites, with a maximum 2 satellites in a daisy chain.
- WiFi 6, 6E, & 7: We recommend adding a maximum of 4 total satellites, with a maximum of 2 satellites in a daisy chain.
Orbi WiFi 6, 6E, & 7 Systems are able to support more than 4 satellites via wireless connection; however, to ensure the best WiFi performance, we recommended using wired Ethernet backhaul connections for each satellite past the 4th. For example: 1 wired satellite for systems with 5 total satellites and 2 wired satellites for systems with 6 total satellites.
Currently, the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Mesh system supports 6 satellites.
