You can monitor your router or Nighthawk mesh system’s upload and download speeds by running a speed test from the Nighthawk app. You can also view the history of your speed tests to see how your Internet speed has changed over time.
Speed test results might vary depending on factors like where your mobile device is in relation to your router or mesh system and how many connected devices are actively using bandwidth. For more information, see How accurate are WiFi speed tests?
To run a speed test in the Nighthawk app:
- Launch the Nighthawk app from a mobile device that is connected to your wireless network.
The Dashboard displays. - Tap the Internet Speed tile.
- Tap Test my speed.
Your ping, upload, and download speeds display. - (Optional) To see how your most recent speed test compares to your prior speed tests, tap History.
