By default, the application allows anyone to log in without a user name or password. As a security measure, you can set up user accounts with passwords (see How Do I Create an Optional User Account in Milestone for ReadyNAS?). Some features require a user account and password.
The application provides two types of user accounts: administrative accounts and standard accounts. Administrative users can access all functions, whereas standard users are allowed limited access. The following table shows the differences between the types of accounts.
