The Anywhere Access feature enables you to use the Orbi or Nighthawk app to manage your Orbi WiFi System or Nighthawk router’s settings from anywhere with your Android or iOS device.
Anywhere Access is enabled by default to give you reliable access to your router through NETGEAR’s secure cloud services. For more information, see Why is Anywhere Access enabled by default on my NETGEAR or Orbi router?
You must be locally connected to your router's WiFi to enable or disable Anywhere Access.
To enable or disable Anywhere Access on your Orbi or Nighthawk router:
- Connect your mobile device to your WiFi network.
- Launch the Orbi or Nighthawk app.
The dashboard displays. - Tap the Menu icon at the top left.
- Tap SETTINGS > Anywhere Access.
The Anywhere Access page displays. - Tap the Enable Anywhere Access toggle.
The toggle background is green when Anywhere Access is enabled. - Tap the back button at the top left.
Your settings are saved.
