In order to access Milestone Arcus on ReadyNAS from your mobile device, you require the Milestone Mobile software. For Android, you can download Milestone Mobile from the Google Play Store. For iOS, you can download Milestone Mobile from the App Store. For Windows Mobile, you can download Milestone Mobile from the Windows Phone Store.
Milestone Mobile can be used locally or remotely. Making Milestone Mobile work outside of your local area network may require additional configuration of your router if UPnP is not enabled.

Sending an invite for remote connection from Milestone Arcus on ReadyNAS
- Login to the Milestone Arcus for ReadyNAS software.
- Click Settings > Smart connect.
- Under Submit email for remote connection to your video management system, enter the e-mail address of the location where you'd want to send an invitation to.
- This could be your e-mail address, or the e-mail of someone else you're inviting to access your Milestone Arcus on ReadyNAS installation.
- Select the recipient's language.
- Click Submit.
- smartconnect@milestonesys.com sends an e-mail to the user you've requested with instructions on how to download Milestone Mobile and Add your server to Milestone Mobile.
- If you follow the steps included in the e-mail from your mobile device, the e-mail will help setup Milestone Mobile automatically.
- If you follow the steps included in the e-mail from a device other than a mobile device, the website will provide you a server ID to use on the mobile app.
Configuring Milestone Mobile to connect to Milestone Arcus on ReadyNAS via Server ID
Once Milestone Mobile is installed on your mobile device, open the app. Milestone Mobile will ask if you want to add a server with ID, or a server manually. Select Add server with ID.
From here, use the server ID that was provided on the website. Once you've entered the server ID in its entirety, click Add.
Your Milestone Arcus on ReadyNAS will be added as a server on Milestone Mobile.
