Most NETGEAR products use a power adapter (also known as a power supply or AC/DC adapter) that connects the device to a wall outlet. The power adapter converts your wall outlet’s power to the power required by your product.
Each NETGEAR product's power adapter has the correct input power, output power, and plug polarity for your device. We strongly recommend that you only use the power adapter that is included with your NETGEAR product. If you use the wrong power adapter, your NETGEAR product might be damaged and unsafe to operate after receiving power that it is not rated to handle. If you need a replacement power adapter for your product, contact NETGEAR Support.
Your NETGEAR product’s power adapter might be warm to the touch when plugged in. This is normal; when power is converted from your wall outlet to the type required by your device, some of that power is naturally lost to heat.
