Note: The router will reset itself to factory defaults after upgrading to version 2.x.
Version 1.x and 2.x configurations are not compatible and cannot be used across software versions.

New Features:

  • MAC address filters are changed to "block and permit others" and "permit and block others".

  • Replaced Iego Dynamic DNS with Oray Dynamic DNS
  • Changed ICMP default session timeout 8 seconds

Bug Fixes:

  • Guest login: can see ISP setting's password, DDNS setting's password by viewing source code.
  • VPN Performance dropped significantly in version 2.1.2-7.
  • Fixed a web CSRF vulnerability.
  • Fixed an issue that automatic refreshing IP/MAC binding web page loses user entered values if user does not click on "add" in time
  • Fixed an issue that adding MTU and mac address does not work

To Upgrade

The router will reset itself to factory defaults after upgrading to version 2.x.
Version 1.x and 2.x configurations are not compatible and cannot be used across software versions.

  1. Download the .img file to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  2. Using a browser, login to the router as admin.
  3. Under Management, click Router Upgrade.
  4. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file fvs338_2_1_3_17.img
  5. Click Upload.
  6. Wait for the router to reboot and the TEST LED to turn off.
  7. Turn off the power to the router.
  8. Turn on the power to the router.

For problems after upgrading, clear the configuration, either by using the Factory Defaults push button on the front panel or the Default button in the Administration > Settings Backup & Upgrade. Then re-enter your configuration information manually.
