There are two ways you can reset your EX3700/EX3800 to default settings. First by pressing the Factory Reset button and second, by using the web user interface (GUI).
Factory Reset button:
- Look for an object like a pen or a paper clip.
- On the bottom of the extender, look for the Factory Reset button.
- Press and hold the reset button using a paper clip or pen and wait for at least 5 seconds or until the Device to Extender LED
blinks amber. - Release the Factory Reset button and wait for the extender to reboot.
- Once rebooted, your extender is back to its factory default settings.
Web GUI:
- Use a computer that is connected to the extender via wired or wireless connection.
Note: The Device to Extender LED
lights solid green to indicate that a device is currently connected to the extender. - Open your Internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.
- Enter www.mywifiext.net in the address bar of your Internet browser.
- On the login page, type your Email and Password and click Log In.
- On the NETGEAR genie page, click Settings then Other Settings.
- Click Reset. Click Yes to proceed.
- Wait for the web user interface to finish resetting the device to factory default settings.
