You can access the device user interface (UI) of your wireless access point (AP) in two ways:

  • Enter your AP's IP address in your web browser's address bar. For more information about how to find your wireless AP's IP address, see How do I find the IP address of my NETGEAR wireless access point?
  • Enter aplogin.com into your web browser's address bar:
    • WBE700 series, WAX600 series, and WAC500 series APs: Connect your client device to the
      NETGEARxxxxxx-SETUP SSID (WiFi network), where xxxxxx is the last six hexadecimal digits of the AP’s MAC address. (The default SSID is on the product label, usually on the bottom of the AP.) Then, enter aplogin.com into your web browser's address bar. However, you can use aplogin.com only during initial setup. After initial setup, you must enter your AP's IP address in the web browser's address bar.
    • WAX220, WAX218, WAX214(v2), and WAX210 APs: Connect your client device to the management SSID (WiFi network):
      • WAX220XXXXXX-CONFIG-ONLY
      • WAX218XXXXXX-CONFIG-ONLY
      • WAX214XXXXXX-CONFIG-ONLY
      • WAX210XXXXXX-CONFIG-ONLY

XXXXXX is the last six hexadecimal digits of the AP’s MAC address. (The management WiFi network is on the product label, usually on the bottom of the AP.) Then, enter aplogin.com into your web browser's address bar. You can use aplogin.com any time that you are connected to the management WiFi network.

For all APs, the default user name is admin. The default password is password. (The password is case-sensitive.) The first time that you log in to the AP, you must specify a new password.

If you are unable to access the device UI, try the following:

  • If you get a security message, proceed or add an exception. For more information, see What do I do if I my browser displays a security message?
  • Use another web browser. We recommend Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
  • Clear the browser cache.
  • Try using your browser's private or incognito mode.
