How do I disable IGMP snooping on NETGEAR Web Managed Plus Switches?
IGMP snooping can improve network performance and reduce unwanted network traffic. Some applications (such as Tivo) require multicast traffic to be flooded to all ports and may not work properly with IGMP snooping enabled. IGMP snooping is enabled by default on NETGEAR Web Managed Plus Switches.
To disable IGMP snooping on NETGEAR Web Managed Plus Switches:
- Enter the IP address of your switch in your web browser's address bar.
If you do not know the IP address of your switch, see How do I discover a Web Managed Plus Switch? - Enter the admin password and click Login.
The default password is password. - Click System > MultiCast.
- Set IGMP Snooping Status to Disable.
- Set Block Unknown Multicast Address to Disable.
- Click Apply.
