If you connect your Orbi router to your existing modem-router combo device, you experience a double network address translation (NAT). Double NAT occurs when multiple routers on a network are translating network addresses. You must bridge your modem-router combo device to avoid double NAT.
To bridge your modem-router combo device, you must turn off the routing function on your modem-router combo device. Reference the information that came with your modem-router combo device for more information about bridge mode.
