A Wireless Distribution System (WDS), also known as a wireless bridge, is a feature that enables interconnection between wireless access points to extend or expand a wireless network. It also allows for multiple sites to join networks together without the need of a wired backbone. On Netgear ProSafe access points WDS is supported in a Point-to-Point or Point to Multi-Point configuration. A Point-to-Point setup allows for two LAN segments joining together wirelessly, a Point to Multi-Point configuration allows for one base Point to connect to four remote Points, all four points connect back to the base point and not to each other. In ProSafe access points WDS is referred to as a Wireless Bridge.
The following is a list of ProSafe access points and the models which are interoperable for creating a wireless bridge (WDS):

The models in the list above are not interoperable with any AC model access point for configuraing a wireless bridge.
WAC120 - the WAC120 model can only be used in WDS configuration with other WAC120's, it is not interoperable with other models.
WAC720, WAC730 - the WAC720 and WAC730 models can only be used in WDS configuration with other WAC720 or WAC730's, they are not interoperable with any other models.
