In an effort to bring more connectivity and simplicity to NETGEAR customers, NETGEAR is combining your ReadyCLOUD account with a single sign-on (SSO) account at MyNETGEAR.com. This means that you can use your MyNETGEAR.com account to connect to your ReadyCLOUD-enabled devices.
What if I do not have any devices registered with MyNETGEAR.com?
To continue to access your ReadyCLOUD account, you must create a MyNETGEAR.com account and link it to your ReadyCLOUD account. For step-by-step instructions, see the following KB articles:

What will happen to the users with whom I shared my ReadyCLOUD devices?
When you upgrade your ReadyCLOUD account, your users automatically migrate to your MyNETGEAR.com account.
What firmware versions are required for my ReadyNAS storage system and Nighthawk router as part of this change?
- ReadyNAS storage system. To continue to use ReadyCLOUD after this change, you must install OS 6.5.0 or later on your ReadyNAS storage system.
- Nighthawk router. Although you are not required to update your Nighthawk router firmware as part of this upgrade, NETGEAR recommends that install the latest Nighthawk firmware to ensure the best user experience.
Do I need to disconnect my ReadyCLOUD account from my ReadyNAS storage system or Nighthawk router before upgrading?
No, this is not necessary.

If you do not own a ReadyCLOUD-enabled device, you must follow these steps:
- Migrate your ReadyCLOUD account to a MyNETGEAR.com account.
- Update your ReadyCLOUD apps on your Mac, PC, iPhone, or Android devices
Which ReadyCLOUD-enabled devices does this migration affect?
This migration affects all ReadyNAS storage systems and the following Nighthawk routers:
- R6400
- R6700
- R7000
- R7300
- R7900
- R8000
- R8500
What should I do if I upgrade my ReadyCLOUD account to a MyNETGEAR account but I do not see my ReadyNAS systems in ReadyCLOUD?
If your ReadyNAS systems are not listed in the ReadyCLOUD portal after you complete the upgrade of your account, double check the local Admin page for the following items:
- Make sure that ReadyCLOUD is enabled.
- Make sure that your ReadyNAS system is connected to the Internet.
- Check the DNS settings on your ReadyNAS system to make sure that it can resolve domain names, for example netgear.com.
- Try leaving ReadyCLOUD from the Local Admin page, and rejoining your ReadyNAS using the MyNETGEAR login information.

No, when you configure your device for ReadyCLOUD, you can register your new product to a MyNETGEAR.com.com account and use the MyNETGEAR login to begin using ReadyCLOUD.
I own a Nighthawk router, what do I need to do during this transition?
If you do not have ReadyCLOUD account, you can use an existing MyNETGEAR.com account or create a MyNETGEAR.com account to use the ReadyCLOUD service.
If your Nighthawk router is connected to a ReadyCLOUD account, you must migrate your ReadyCLOUD account to a new or existing MyNETGEAR account.
What if I do not want to migrate to the MyNETGEAR.com account?
After the migration, a MyNETGEAR account is required to use the ReadyCLOUD service. The ReadyCLOUD services will only be enabled for the following:
- ReadyNAS storage systems will be for 6.5.0 or higher firmware versions.
- Nighthawk ReadyCLOUD users running the latest firmware release.
