When creating or editing a Security Profile on a Wireless Controller there are two limitations to be aware of when naming the SSID.

1. There cannot be any spaces.
Using spaces in the SSID was removed due to some previous issues seen with Android devices when spaces were allowed in the SSID.
Trying to apply an SSID containing a space will return an error "SSID must not contain space" in the controller web gui.

2. The SSID is limited to 31 characters.
SSID's have a max length of 31 characters since the initial release of ProSafe wireless controllers firmware, the limitation has always been present. There is currently no plan to increase the limit of max characters allowed in an SSID on a wireless controller.

If you have previously used your ProSafe access point(s) in standalone mode these limitations did not apply, on ProSafe access points an SSID may contain spaces and the SSID has a max character length of 32. However once a Prosafe access point is controlled by a ProSafe wireless controller it then adheres to the limitations of the controller.
