Bug Fixes
- Fixed the one corner IOT issue with Intel 6300 where the user is unable to connect to the R7300’s 2.4G main network, when the R7300 security is in mixed mode and the 2.4G guest network is enabled.
- Fixed the web GUI issue where the SSID information displays abnormal text strings when the R7300 is in bridge mode.
- Fixed the web GUI issue where the LAN ports up time fields display empty data on the Show Statistics page.
- Fixed the issue where the Apple remote APP running on the iPhone or iPad is un-registered from the iTunes server after the R7300 reboots.
- Fixed a potential system out of memory issue where IPv6 is set in “Auto Config” or “DHCP” mode.
Firmware Upgrade Instruction
Note: To avoid wireless disconnect issues during the firmware download process, NETGEAR recommends that the firmware upgrade be performed on a computer with a wired connection.
- Write down all the settings that were changed from the default values as you may need to re-enter them manually.
- Using the download link below, download and extract the new firmware to a convenient place such as your desktop. The filename after extracting is R7300-V1.0.0.32_1.0.6.chk

- Log in to the router using a Web browser. The URL is http://www.routerlogin.net.
- Click ADVANCED tab > Administration > Firmware Upgrade.
- Click Browse and find the file you just downloaded.
- Click Upload. Do not interrupt the upgrade while the router does this step.
Important Note:
- The upgrade process is complete when the on screen progress bar completes. If the power LED light turns amber and blinks, power cycle the router to complete the upgrade.
- If the upgrade progress bar on web GUI doesn't display correctly during the firmware upgrade, you can still check the status using the Power LED. The Power LED should be blinking (amber) during firmware upgrade. After the firmware upgrade is complete and the system boots up, it changes to a steady amber color.
- Please DO NOT power off or reboot the device during the firmware upgrade, otherwise, it may result in corrupt firmware and cause the device not to work.
