Only for GS748Tv1h1 - Do NOT use this on v1h2 or v1h3.
Note: If you have firmware version 1.0.0, you must first upgrade to firmware version 1.1.0 before attempt upgrade to version 1.3.0.
After upgraded to version 1.3.0, you must reset the switch to factory default by using the Factory Default button on the switch or by clicking Factory Reset on the Web GUI. Write down all the configuration you have changed. Use them to manually reconfigure the switch after upgrade.
Enhancements from v1.3.0-0606:
- Changes Jumbo Frames limit to 10240 bytes.
- Modifies Jumbo Frame GUI.
- Enables snmpOutTraps Counter.
- Supports STP Trunk.
- Adds Fast_Link_delay_timer 5 seconds.
- Changes VTSS API version to 1.36.
Enhancements from v1.3.0-0408:
- Support for SNMP v1: the GS748T will respond to queries from SNMP-based software.
- Jumbo frame support: when active, the GS748T will not drop over-sized frames, but will forward them on. Limited to 9,500 byte frames.
- Spanning Tree: the GS748T will participate in the IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree protocol to prevent loops.
To upgrade the firmware:
- Download the new firmware to a convenient place on your local system (e.g., C:\downloads\).
- Start Smart Wizard Discovery Utility, (included on the CD coming with your Smart Switch). If it is not installed, do so now, before continuing.
- In Smart Wizard Discovery window, click Discover to find your Smart Switch. The switch will be listed in the device list table once found. (Note: Smart Wizard Discovery uses broadcast packets to find Smart Switches, which means it can only find Smart Switches in the same routing domain.)
- Highlight the Smart Switch to upgrade and click Firmware Upgrade.
- Follow the screen prompts to complete the upgrade. Smart Wizard Discovery will report a successful completion at the end.
