ReadyNAS 102 and ReadyNAS 104 devices may experience slow resync speeds when using RAID 6.
RAID 6 parity calculation is computationally complex, and as such, the RN102 and RN104 are not capable of resyncing without a significant performance drop compared to other RAID levels.
RAID 10 may provide faster performance than RAID 6.
Even though you may be using RAID 6 and experiencing long resync times, you can safely use the system normally with full data redundancy during the resync.
