To enable the voice VLAN on a GS728TP, GS728TPP, GS752TP, or GS516TP smart switch:
- Open a web browser.
- In the browser address field, type the IP address of the smart switch.
The default IP address is 192.168.0.239 and the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
You are prompted to enter your password.
- Type the password in the Password field.
The default password is password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Click the Login button.
After the system authenticates you, the System Information screen displays.
- Select Switching > VoiceVLAN > Advanced >Properties.
- Next to Voice VLAN Status, select the Enable radio button.
NOTE: The other settings on this screen are optional.
- Click the Apply button.
The voice VLAN is now globally enabled.
- Select Switching > VoiceVLAN > Advanced >OUI.
The Organizational Unique Identifier (OUI) identifies the IP phone manufacturer.
- Select the check box for the OUI that represents your IP phone manufacturer.
- Click the Apply button.
The setting is saved.
- Select Switching > VoiceVLAN > Advanced >Port Setting.
- Select the check boxes for the ports for which you want to enable the voice VLAN.
- From the Voice VLAN Mode menu, select Enable.
- Click the Apply button.
The voice VLAN is now activated for the selected ports.
