To filter traffic by using an ACL on smart switches:
- Create an ACL.
- Configure and add rules to the ACL.
An ACL must include rules that specify whether traffic matching the criteria is forwarded or discarded. Additionally, you can assign traffic that matches the criteria to a particular queue or redirect the traffic to a particular port.
NOTE: A default deny all rule is the last rule of any ACL.
- Apply the ACL to a port in the inbound direction.
A smart switch allows ACLs to be bound to physical ports and LAGs. A smart switch also supports MAC ACLs, IPv4 ACLs, and IPv6 ACLs.
