This article provides troubleshooting steps for connection problems with your NETGEAR router.
Use the following instructions if you were connected to the Internet but lost your connection.
Symptoms
- No access to websites.
- No activity on the Internet LED of your router.
- No Internet access on connected devices.
To troubleshoot connection problems:
Note: Each of the following steps is a separate attempt to fix the problem. If one steps works, you don’t need to proceed with the other steps.
- Check the connections of your devices. Make sure that each cable connection is secure.
- Refresh your cable connection by power cycling your network. For more information, see How do I power cycle my home network?.
