You can set up your NETGEAR router to block devices connected to your network from accessing specified web services. You can also set blocking to be continuous or set up a blocking schedule.

To block web services on your NETGEAR router from the router web interface:
- Launch a web browser from a device that is connected to your router's network.
- Enter www.routerlogin.net.
A login window displays. - Enter your user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page or Dashboard displays. - Select ADVANCED > Security > Block Services.
Some models might have slightly different navigation, like Settings > Content Filtering > Block Services.
The Block Services page appears. - Select a Services Blocking option:
- Never: Turns off blocking.
- Per Schedule: Turns on blocking according to your Schedule settings. For more information, see How do I set up a blocking schedule on my NETGEAR router from the router web interface?
- Always: Turns on blocking until the setting is changed to Never or Per Schedule.
- Under the Service Table, click Add.
The Block Services Setup screen displays. - From the drop-down list, select a Service Type to block.
If your service type is not listed, select User Defined and specify the protocol and port numbers to block. - (Optional) To block specific devices on your network from accessing blocked services, enter the IP addresses of those devices in the Filter Services For section.
- Click or tap Add.
The settings are saved to the Service Table. - Repeat steps 6-9 for all services to block.
- Click or tap Apply.
Service blocking takes effect.
