The number of WiFi client devices that your NETGEAR router can simultaneously support varies depending on the model.

Most current NETGEAR routers use 802.11ax (WiFi 6) technology. If you have a NETGEAR WiFi 6 router, the number of WiFi client devices that it supports depends on the type of router:
- Nighthawk WiFi 6 routers: At least 100 client devices
- Other WiFi 6 routers (without Nighthawk branding): At least 50 client devices
NETGEAR routers that use 802.11ac (WiFi 5) technology can be dual band or single band. If you have a NETGEAR WiFi 5 router, the number of WiFi client devices that it supports depends on the number of wireless bands:
- Dual-band WiFi 5 routers: At least 50 client devices
- Single-band WiFi 5 routers: At least 32 client devices
