ReadyDATAOS v1.3.1 Release Notes:
New features and enhancements:
- Users from trusted domains in Active Directory environments can now access shares and be added to access control lists (ACLs)

- Note: A user, who wants to include trusted domain support on a ReadyDATA device that is already joined to a domain, must temporarily switch to local user mode before rejoining the domain. After switching to local user mode, the trusted domain checkbox will function correctly. This does not apply to users starting on 1.3.1 or users who have not joined a domain prior to 1.3.1.
- Folder listing performance in large CIFS/SMB deployments has been improved.
- The snapshot pruning algorithm has been modified to bring back available volume capacity by removing automatic (scheduled) snapshots when the lesser of the following thresholds is reached:

- Available storage space on the volume is 200GB.
- Consumed storage space on the volume is 70%

- Note: Upon upgrade to 1.3.1, the new pruning algorithm will take effect. Users with automatic snapshots enabled on volumes that met either threshold will notice that the oldest snapshots will be removed to bring back available volume capacity. While snapshots are being removed, users may notice performance overhead associated with the operation.
- Support for nested organizational units (OU) in Active Directory environments has been improved.
- When creating new Virtual Network Interfaces (VNICs), it is no longer necessary to assign a default router (gateway) to each interface.

- NETGEAR recommends assigning a default router (gateway) to one VNIC and leaving the default router field blank for all other VNICs.
Major bug fixes:
- Display issue that caused replicated shares not be to displayed in the ReadyDATA user interface has been corrected.
- Password creation for bi-directional CHAP authentication is now enabled.
- Issue that caused iSCSI dropouts when iSCSI Qualified Name (IQN) settings were changed has been corrected.
- Display issue that caused incorrect hostnames to be displayed in the Replicate portal (ReadyDATA.NETGEAR.com) is resolved.
- Issue that caused problems with LUN deletion after associated snapshots had been renamed has been corrected.
- Issue that caused problems accessing FTP shares using Windows Explorer when group permissions where set on the share has been corrected.
- Misleading alerts about root pool capacity have been fixed.
Deployment Notes / Limitations:
- For all ReadyDATA models.

- It is necessary to disable VAAI when using vSphere4 or vSphere5 with iSCSI.
- All system settings are volatile until the first volume is created.
- Deduplication for thick LUNs has been removed as capacity savings are not realized on the ReadyDATA device or by the host.
- File and Folder permissions take precedence over Automatic Permissions on a per share or LUN basis
