  1. Create VLAN 500.
    1. Select Switching > VLAN > Basic > VLAN Configuration.

      A screen similar to the following displays.

    2. In the VLAN ID field, enter 500.
    3. In the VLAN Type field, select Static.
    4. Click Add.
       
  2. Add ports to VLAN 500.
    1. Select Switching > VLAN > Advanced > VLAN Membership.

    2. In the VLAN ID list, select 500.
    3. Click Unit 1. The ports display.
    4. Click the gray box under port 1 until U displays, indicating that the egress packet is untagged for the port.
    5. Click Apply.
       
  3. Specify the PVID on port 1/0/1.
    1. Select Switching > VLAN > Advanced > Port PVID Configuration.

    2. Under PVID Configuration, scroll down and select the Interface 1/0/1 check box.
    3. In the PVID (1 to 4093) field, enter 500.
    4. Click Apply to save the settings.
       
  4. Enable IPv6 forwarding and unicast routing on the switch.
    1. Select Routing > IPv6 > Basic > Global Configuration.

    2. For IPv6 Unicast Routing, select the Enable radio button.
    3. For IPv6 Forwarding, select the Enable radio button.
    4. Click Apply.
       
  5. Enable IPv6 routing on the VLAN.
    1. Select Routing > IPv6 > Advanced > Interface Configuration.

    2. Click VLANS. The logical VLAN interface 0/4/2 displays.
    3. Select the 0/4/2 check box.
    4. Under IPv6 Interface Configuration, in the IPv6 Mode field, select Enable.
    5. Click Apply.
       
  6. Assign an IPv6 address to the routing VLAN.
    1. Select Routing > IPv6 > Advanced > Prefix Configuration.

    2. In the Interface field, select 0/4/2.
    3. In the IPv6 Prefix field, enter 2000::1.
    4. In the Length field, enter 64.
    5. In the EUI64 field, select Disable.
    6. Click Add.
