Some Internet Service providers may require you to enter the MAC address of the previous modem to complete the DSL modem router installation. Below are the instructions to follow:
- Log in to router GUI.
- Go to ADSL settings from the left column menu.
- Verify that you have entered the correct Multiplexing method, VPI and VCI settings given by your Internet Service Provider. Please call your service provider if you do not have these information.
- Hit Apply to save your changes.
- Go to Basic Settings menu and select No.
- Leave other fields on default settings and scroll down to Router MAC address section.
- Select Use this MAC address radio button.
- Enter the MAC address of your previous modem (usually found on the bottom label) on the space provided.
- Hit Apply to save your changes.
- Turn OFF the DSL modem router.
- Wait 5 seconds and turn ON the DSL modem router.
