How can one access the GSM7224 and bring up the web GUI?
To setup the unit, one needs to connect a PC to the unit’s console port to use the CLI (command line interface). The GSM7224 is set to DHCP enable by default. The unit can capture the IP address from the DHCP server it connects to if the DHCP server is available. Otherwise the user has to disable the DHCP protocol and specifies an IP address. Both the IP address on the PC and the GSM7224 have to be on the same subnet in order for the PC to bring up the GSM7224 Web GUI. Of cause we are assuming that the PC does has an Ethernet port that can connect to one of the port on the GSM7224.
How can do you unplug the SFP GBIC module from the unit’s fiber ports?
Push in the plastic tag on the bottom front of the SFP GBIC module and pull out the module at the same the time.
