New Features:

• Support for PoE configuration and monitoring:
  • Use the new PoE page to configure and monitor Power over Ethernet across managed switches, including individual port PoE status, power consumption, power budget, priority, and options to enable, disable, or power-cycle PoE ports.
• Support for MLAG view-only on M4350 switches:
  • The Engage controller now supports M4350 switches with Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG) in the network. This feature is view-only in the Engage controller. Use the CLI or device UI to configure an MLAG on an M4350 switch.
• Support for up to 30 access points for a site. Do not exceed this amount, as it can affect system performance and stability.
• Support for customized group firmware upgrades. Customized groups can update the firmware on a defined group of devices.
• Support for the following new AV profiles:
  • Just Add Power: This profile connects Just Add Power devices for audio, video, and KVM distribution when operating in AMP Alternate mode. Do not use this profile for standardized Just Add Power deployments. For standardized deployments, use AMP software to configure the switch.
  • Turtle: This profile connects switches to Turtle Dante AV systems for quick auto-detection and for ease of configuration.
• Support for non-unicast global hash mode selection:

New global setting to select the hash mode used for non-unicast traffic distribution across LAG member ports.

• Support for RSTP Hello Timer configuration:

You can now configure the Hello Timer for RSTP in Site Settings > STP.

• Multicast enhancements:
  • Multicast streams: View active multicast streams across the site to understand which sources are streaming and where the traffic flows.
  • Multicast groups: View multicast group membership for individual switches and ports, making it easier to audit and troubleshoot IGMP behavior in AV-over-IP deployments.
  • Real-time monitoring: Enable or disable real-time multicast monitoring on demand.
• Site-level Network Profile enhancement:
  New option under Network Profile creation “Topology-Aware VLAN Optimization” that helps reduce unnecessary VLAN load on access/edge switches by applying Network Profile VLANs based on local port membership and switch role. Protected VLANs remain preserved, while optimization safely supports physical and virtual sites and recomputes configuration after topology changes.
• IGMP Querier enhancement: The IGMP Querier table includes a new "Last Query" column.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixes the issue where the bandwidth usage does not display correctly (CE-7843).
• Fixes the issue where the Engage controller displays the Topology view slowly, potentially due to the addition of fiber optics to the Topology view (CE-7847).
• Fixes the issue where fiber module output does not display for M4500 switches when browsing to Fiber Modules from Network Monitoring (CE-7849).
• Fixes the issue where customers cannot create a configuration backup and receive the message “Configuration backup file is missing” (CE-7865).
• Fixes the issue where you cannot change the IP address of an access point (CE-7933).
• Fixes the issue where some LAG configurations might not automatically clear if you remove a linked virtual device from a site.
• Fixes the issue where a group firmware upgrade might not initiate on every onboarded device.

Known Issues:

• Virtual devices do not support MLAG or stacking.
• You cannot create device-specific local VLAN profiles directly on individual virtual devices.
• Virtual devices do not support management VLAN IP configuration. Default IP information might appear in certain management views.
• Offline provisioning auto-onboarding is supported only when you use VLAN1 as the management VLAN.
• Topologies that use fanout connections only might experience onboarding failures when converting virtual devices to physical devices.
• M4500 switches using VLAN1 might experience onboarding issues in certain scenarios.
• Editing Link Aggregation (LAG) settings from the virtual device configuration page (Devices > Configure) might cause unexpected link behavior.
• Link speed selection during virtual link configuration is for viewing and planning purposes only.
• AP onboarding might fail with a “Provisioning Failed” status in some cases.
  Workaround: Remove and re-onboard failed devices.
• M4300 devices go offline after removing DICENTIS Conference System profile on a site.
  Workaround: Reconnect port cables.
• M4500 devices in the Managed Devices table might occasionally display as misaligned.
• You cannot use the dollar ($) symbol as the first character in the name or password of a site.
• M4500 models do not support NTP/SNTP.
• You cannot change the management VLAN on M4500 models that use the Engage Controller.
  Workaround: Use CLI commands to update the PVID on the M4500 models.
• The auto-stacking function on the M4300 and M4350 switches does not support the M4300-96X model.
  Workaround: Use CLI commands if an M4300-96X model must be a member of a stack.
• You cannot display the EEPROM information for certain fiber modules.
  Workaround: Use the switch CLI to display the EEPROM information.
• Connection requests might be refused during the onboarding process of an M4500 switch.
  Workaround: Try again until the connection request is successful.
• The management VLAN ID is inconsistent for onboarded devices if a pre-existing management VLAN ID does not match with the current site settings.
  Workaround: Ensure the management VLAN ID is the same across the entire site before you upgrade the firmware.

Minimum Engage Controller Agent Version Requirements:

• Upgrade the M4250, M4300, M4350, and M4500 switches to a firmware version with the Engage Controller agent 2.2.16.18 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.6.1.11.
• Upgrade the Pro Router PR460X to firmware version v3.0.0.105or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.6.1.11.
• Upgrade the WBE718 and WBE758 access points to firmware version v12.8.0.7 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.6.1.11.
• Upgrade the WAX608Y access points to firmware version v12.8.0.7 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.6.1.11.
