• STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) management:
  • Configure and monitor Spanning Tree Protocol across managed switches to prevent network loops. Supports both RSTP, MSTP and RPVST modes with per-switch configuration, including bridge priority and default protocol timers (hello time, max age, forward delay).
• Fiber Link Health in the Physical Topology view:
  • Real-time visibility into the health of fiber optic links from the Physical Topology page. View per-port fiber module diagnostics including temperature, voltage, transmit and RX optical power, loss-of-signal detection, TX fault status, supported bit rate, and compliance information to quickly identify degraded or failing fiber connections.
• Support for the following new AV Network Profiles:
  • AJA Profile
  • Biamp AVB + Dante Audio Profile
  • BluOS Profile
  • AUDAC Profile
  • Audio Video SMPTE Profile
  • Shure Converged Profile (on M4350)
  • AVB Milan Profile
• Profile color palettes:
  • Assign custom colors to AV Network Profiles using a new color palette picker. Profile colors are reflected in the Topology and Profile pages, making it easier to visually distinguish profiles when designing or auditing complex sites.
• Managed Devices backup enhancements:
  • Schedule automatic configuration backups for ProAV switches and Pro Routers with flexible repeat patterns (Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Weekdays).
• Topology enhancements:
  • Manual Trunk: Manually select the member ports of a LAG directly from the Topology page.
  • Add Ports Untagged To Profile: Bulk-assign multiple switch ports to an AV Network Profile in untagged mode in a single action, simplifying port provisioning when expanding existing profiles.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixes DHCP scope change fails on first attempt with VLAN conflict (CE-7701)
• Fixes QSC plugin reports "Operation Timed out after 5000 milliseconds" error; issue does not occur when Engage is closed (CE-7405)
• Fixes Shure Split profile issue when applied from Engage (CE-7734)
• Fixes M4300-96X slot layout alignment inconsistency across all network variants (V2.5.1.9)
• Fixes missing management VLAN IP information in IGMP Querier table. (V2.5.1.9)
• Fixes Stack unit dropdown not populating on the Port Assignment page. (V2.5.1.9)

Known Issues:

• Virtual devices do not support MLAG or stacking.
• You cannot create device-specific local VLAN profiles directly on individual virtual devices.
• Virtual devices do not support management VLAN IP configuration. Default IP information might appear in certain management views.
• Offline provisioning auto-onboarding is supported only when VLAN 1 is used as the management VLAN.
• Topologies using only fanout or LAG connections might experience onboarding failures when converting virtual devices to physical devices.
• M4500 switches using VLAN1 might experience onboarding issues in certain scenarios.
• Editing Link Aggregation (LAG) settings from the virtual device configuration page (DevicesàConfigure) might cause unexpected link behavior.
• Link speed selection during virtual link configuration is for viewing and planning purposes only.
• Some LAG configurations might not automatically clear if a linked virtual device is removed from the site.
• The DHCP Address Reservation table does not display existing reservations when the DHCP default router address differs from the switch’s management IP address. DHCP continues to function normally, and reservations can still be added through Engage.
• Port panel display is wrong in Engage AVUI and Engage port selection
  Workaround: Port assignment works despite UI display issue.
• The group firmware upgrade might not initiate on every onboarded device.
  Workaround: Attempt to upgrade again on the devices that were not initially updated.
• In rare cases, an AP may remain in “Rebooting” state after onboarding.
  Workaround: Remove and attempt to onboard the AP again.
• M4300 devices go offline after removing DICENTIS Conference System profile on a site.
  Workaround: Reconnect port cables.
• M4500 devices in the Managed Devices table might occasionally display as misaligned.
• You cannot use the $ symbol as the first character in the name or password of a site.

• M4500 models do not support NTP/SNTP.
• You cannot change the management VLAN on M4500 models that use the Engage Controller.
  Workaround: Use CLI commands to update the PVID on the M4500 models.
• The auto-stacking function on the M4300 and M4350 switches does not support the M4300-96X model.
  Workaround: Use CLI commands if an M4300-96X model must be a member of a stack.
• You cannot display the EEPROM information for certain fiber modules.
  Workaround: Use the switch CLI to display the EEPROM information.
• Connection requests might be refused during the onboarding process of an M4500 switch.
  Workaround: Try again until the connection request is successful.
• The management VLAN ID is inconsistent for onboarded devices if a pre-existing management VLAN ID does not match with the current site settings.
  Workaround: Ensure the management VLAN ID is the same across the entire site before you upgrade the firmware.

Minimum Engage Controller Agent Version Requirements:

• Upgrade the M4250, M4300, M4350, and M4500 switches to a firmware version with the Engage Controller agent 2.2.15.16 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.5.1.9.
• Upgrade the Pro Router PR460X to firmware version 2.7.0.111 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.5.1.9.
• Upgrade the WBE718 and WBE758 access points to firmware version 12.5.0.22 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.5.1.9.
• Upgrade the WAX608Y access points to firmware version 12.8.0.7 or later to ensure proper functionality of features in the Engage Controller version 2.5.1.9.

M4350-16C (CSM4316) and M4350-16M4V (MSM4320) — Interim Firmware Notice

• CSM4316 and MSM4320 switches shipped with factory images that are not compatible with this release. Therefore, Engage skips the standard firmware upgrade check for these hardware variants in the current release cycle.
• Customers who need the full 2.5.1.9 feature set on affected M4350 models can download and install the interim firmware V14.0.8.12 or contact ProAVDesign@netgear.com for assistance. This interim firmware supports all 2.5.1.9 features until the official unified M4350 firmware release becomes available.
• An official firmware release that fully supports all M4350 models, including CSM4316 and MSM4320, is planned for July 2026.
