Following a recent update to Insight, you might experience issues logging in to the Insight Cloud Portal when SMS-based two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled. In particular, you might not receive the SMS verification code required to complete login.
This article provides a temporary workaround to access your account until the issue is resolved.
Symptoms
- You cannot log in to the Insight Cloud Portal
- SMS-based 2FA is enabled on the account
- You do not receive the SMS verification code
- No alternative verification option displays in the Insight Cloud Portal
Workaround
Use the Insight mobile app to select an alternative verification method:
- Download and install the Insight app (available on Android and iOS)
- Open the Insight app, and attempt to log in using your credentials
- Enter your username and password.
- In the Verify Identity screen, tap Try another verification method.
- Choose the option to send the verification code to your registered email address.
- Retrieve the code from your email and enter it in the app to complete login.
- In the upper left corner, tap the menu icon.
- Tap Account Management > Manage Profile > Login Settings > Two-Step Verification.
- Tap the Trusted Factor tab, and set email as the primary method.
-
The Try another verification method option is only available in the Insight mobile app, not in the Insight Cloud Portal.
