This article takes you through the step-by-step process of setting up your M7 portable hotspot for the first time with a web browser.
Make sure your M7 mobile hotspot is charged before starting the setup process.
To set up your M7 with the web user interface:

Press and hold the Power/Navigation button for thirty seconds to turn on your M7.
When idle, the M7’s screen turns off to conserve power. Press and release the Power/Navigation button to wake the screen.
A QR code and the default WiFi Name and Password display. - With a computer or mobile device, connect to the WiFi network credentials displayed on the M7’s screen.
- On your computer or mobile device, launch a web browser and visit ntgrapp.netgear.com or 192.168.10.1 (the hotspot's default IP address).
The Setup your Language page displays. - Click or tap NEXT.
The Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy page displays. - Click or tap CONTINUE.
The Set your web user interface password page displays. - Create a user interface password and click or tap SAVE.
Take note of this password. This password is used to access your M7’s settings. - Click CONNECT TO WIFI.
This allows your M7 to connect to the Internet without an eSIM so that you can purchase an eSIM.
The Internet page displays. - Select the network name of a WiFi network you have access to.
The PREFFERED NETWORK popup displays. - Enter the WiFi network’s password and click or tap Continue.
Your M7 mobile hotspot is now set up.
