Features and Enhancements:
The AV UI provides the following enhancements:
- New Network Profiles Added:
- Telos Alliance / Livewire+ AES67
- DICENTIS Conference System Profile
- Audio-Technica Profile: Profile color is now editable.
The Firmware provides the following enhancements:
- Enforces minimum password complexity requirements at the user's next password change.
- Adds VLAN TLVs in LLDP organizationally specific TLVs by default
- Enables forced password reset for an additional account upon the user's next login. Use the command username <username> password-reset-required, where the username parameter applies only to the newly added customer account. You can view accounts flagged for forced password reset by running the command show users account.
- Supports minimum password complexity to comply with the NETGEAR password policy:
- The password must be 8 to 64 characters in length and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. The following special characters are allowed: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ).
- You cannot include your user name in the password.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixes the issue where MTU reverted to 9198 after reboot, ensuring persistent configuration. [CE-6514]
- Fixes the issue where PTP TC configuration was not retained in AVUI startup config, ensuring persistent time sync settings. [CE-6481]
- Fixes the issue where AVUI failed to restore configurations containing special characters, ensuring full config recovery. [CE-6558]
- Fixes an issue where CPU utilization increased to 90% when reading the SNMP FDB table OID.
Known Issues:
- M4500 does not support RPVSTP for the DICENTIS Conference system profile—connect Bosch devices to other switch models and use M4500 as a core switch only.
- The M4500 is offline and inaccessible after you change the management VLAN in the Engage Controller.
Workaround: Do not change the management VLAN when the M4500 is on site, or manually add the VLAN to the interface using the CLI. See the below example:

(Switch) (Interface) # switchport native vlan X
General Information:
- AppMgr is upgraded to version 1.0.3.26 in this switch firmware.
- If the encrypted password in the configuration file does not adhere to the NETGEAR password policy, when the configuration file is loaded on the firmware version 7.0.4.26, you must create a new password during the initial login.

Firmware Update Instructions:
- If your firmware is below 7.0.3.21, first upgrade to the interim version 7.0.3.21 using either AVUI or CLI.
- If your firmware is exactly 7.0.3.21, upgrade to 7.0.4.12 using only the firmware in:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/M4500/CSM4532_XSM4556_V7.0.4.12.zip - If your firmware is 7.0.4.x or newer, you can upgrade directly to 7.0.4.26 using AVUI or CLI.
