Enhancements:
The AV UI provides the following enhancements:
- Support for new profiles:
- DICENTIS Conference system profile
- Telos Alliance / Livewire+ AES67
- Support for configurable colors on the Audio Technica profile.
The firmware provides the following enhancements:
- Support for the following new MIB objects:
- agentPortSpeedDuplexStatus: Enables configuration of port speed and duplex settings. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.1.2.13.1.56” under “agentPortConfigTable” in “fastpathswitching.my”.
- boxServicesFanControlMode: Allows adjustment of fan control modes including off, quiet, cool, and auto. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.43.1.21” in ‘boxServicesGroup’ in “fastpath_boxservices.my”.
- agentDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes: Specifies admissible Ethernet frame types for VLAN ports. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.1.2.8.50.1.2” under “agentDot1qPortVlanTable” in “fastpathswitching.my”.
- Support for enforcing password reset upon initial login for newly created users.
- Supports minimum password complexity to comply with the NETGEAR password policy:
- The password must be 8 to 64 characters in length and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. The following special characters are allowed: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ).
- You cannot include your user name in the password.
Bug Fixes:
This firmware addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where the maximum response time in general query is incorrect. [MS-4382]
- Fixes the issue where OSPFv3 packets are not forwarded when IGMP and MLD snooping are both enabled. [MS-4499]
- Fixes the issue where the fan speed does not come down from 100% to normal on the M4250 higher port count models. [MS-4572]
- Fixes the issue where the switch crashes when a large configuration file is loaded and clears the configuration. [MS-4655]
- Fixes the issue of a false increment of the “InDropPkts” counter on M4250 models with a higher port count. [MS-4677]
- Fixes the issue where switch responds to DHCP request even though no DHCP pool is created for the subnet. [CE-6246]
- Fixes the issue where SNMP OID “LastQuerierAddress” shows an IP address of “0.0.0.0”. [CE-6473]
- Fixes the issue where the IGMP Operational Mode, until IP IGMP, displays as off, then on. [CE-6483]
This AV UI addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where the MTU reverts to 9198 after a reboot. [CE-6514]
- Fixes the issue where the PTP TC configuration does not save in the startup configuration of the AV UI. [CE-6481]
- Fixes the issue where the AV UI does not restore the configuration with special characters. [CE-6558]
Warnings:
Read and follow these warnings before updating your firmware:
- SNTP is deprecated from firmware version 13.0.5.10 onwards and NTP is introduced. Configure an NTP server in your network. Remove SNTP related settings from the configuration file on firmware version 13.0.4.x before you apply it to the switch running firmware version 13.0.5.x.
General Information:
- The boot code remains at the existing version 1.0.0.13 in this switch firmware.
- AppMgr is upgraded to version 1.0.3.26 in this switch firmware.
- Insight and Engage/AV UI are mutually exclusive. This means you can only use one of these options to configure and manage the switch, not both.
- If the encrypted password in the configuration file does not adhere to the NETGEAR password policy, when the configuration file is loaded on the firmware version 14.0.6.9, you must create a new password during the initial login.
