Enhancements:
The AV UI provides the following enhancements:
- Support for new profiles:
- DICENTIS Conference system profile
- Telos Alliance / Livewire+ AES67
- Support for configurable colors on the Audio Technica profile.
- Support for the coexistence of a PTP boundary clock and a transparent clock on an Auto-Trunk interface.
The firmware provides the following enhancements:
- Supports four new models M4350-8M2V (MSM4310), M4350-24M4X4V (MSM4332), M4350-24F4X (MSM4328F) & M4350-40F4C (XSM4344FC).
- Support for the following new MIB objects:
- agentPortSpeedDuplexStatus: Enables configuration of port speed and duplex settings. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.1.2.13.1.56” under “agentPortConfigTable” in “fastpathswitching.my”.
- boxServicesFanControlMode: Allows adjustment of fan control modes including off, quiet, cool, and auto. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.43.1.21” in ‘boxServicesGroup’ in “fastpath_boxservices.my”.
- agentDot1qPortAcceptableFrameTypes: Specifies admissible Ethernet frame types for VLAN ports. This function is added as OID “1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.1.2.8.50.1.2” under “agentDot1qPortVlanTable” in “fastpathswitching.my”.
- Support for enforcing password reset upon initial login for newly created users.
- Supports minimum password complexity to comply with the NETGEAR password policy:
- The password must be 8 to 64 characters in length and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number. The following special characters are allowed: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ).
- You cannot include your user name in the password.
Bug Fixes:
This firmware addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where the maximum response time in general query is not correct. [MS-4382]
- Fixes the issue where OSPFv3 packets are not forwarded when IGMP and MLD snooping are both enabled. [MS-4499]
- Fixes the issue where the switch crashes when a large configuration file is loaded and clears the configuration. (MS-4655]
- Fixes the issue where three 40-port models stop booting after upgrading from firmware 14.0.2.23. [CE-4839]
- Fixes the issue where the MCU version is shown different in “show hardware” and “show switch detail” commands. [MS-4851]
- Fixes the issue where the switch responds to a DHCP request even though no DHCP pool is created for the subnet. [CE-6246]
- Fixes the issue where SNMP OID “LastQuerierAddress” shows an IP address of “0.0.0.0”. [CE-6473]
- Fixes the issue where the IGMP Operational Mode status, until IP IGMP, displays as off, then on. [CE-6483]
- Fixes the issue where the switch models M4350-24X8F8V (XSM4340V), M4350-36X4V (XSM4340CV) or M4350-32F8V (XSM4340FV), do not boot up when firmware is upgraded from version 14.0.2.23 and boot code version 1.0.0.8 to the newer release. [CE-6494]
This AV UI addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where the MTU reverts to 9198 after reboot. [CE-6514]
- Fixes the issue where the PTP TC configuration does not save in the startup configuration of the AV UI. [CE-6481]
- Fixes the issue where the AV UI does not restore the configuration with special characters. [CE-6558]
Known Issues:
This firmware contains the following known issues:
- Auto-LAG does not form anymore if ‘PTP over Auto-Lag’ is selected.
Workaround: Don’t use ‘PTP over Auto-Lag’
- The four 25G ports of models M4350-44M4X4V, M4350-24X4V, and M4350-24F4V can operate at either 10G or 25G speed but not simultaneously at 10G and 25G speed.
- A stacking link works only at the highest speed that the port supports. For example, if you configure a 25G port in stack mode, the port can operate only at 25G and not at 10G. Therefore, you cannot establish a stacking link if a 10G port and a 25G port are interconnected.
General Information:
- The boot code remains at the existing version 1.0.0.15 in this switch firmware.
- AppMgr is upgraded to version 1.0.3.26 in this switch firmware.
- Insight and Engage/AV UI are mutually exclusive. This means you can only use one of these options to configure and manage the switch, not both.
- If the encrypted password in the configuration file does not adhere to the NETGEAR password policy, when the configuration file is loaded on the firmware version 14.0.6.9, you must create a new password during the initial login.
