This article addresses a known limitation with the M4300-96X switch when configuring flow control on specific ports.
When flow control is enabled on the switch for the first time, all ports may flap briefly, causing a momentary loss of access to all devices connected to the switch. The connections resume automatically within a short timeframe.
The issue occurs when enabling flow control, as the switch needs to tune internal settings on all ports. This process causes a brief port flap.
This behaviour is specific to the M4300-96X model switch. Once flow-control is configured, we recommend to keep it enabled.
