We are aware of an issue in the Insight 7.6.2 release where some customers may encounter a Login Denied message when trying to login to their Insight account when using the Cloud Portal or iOS mobile app.
This issue is observed when two-step verification is enabled and the primary verification method is Push notification with an Android device as the primary device.
As part of the Insight 7.6.2 release, we also released the version 7.6.2 mobile app for Android and iOS. In this version the two-step verification push notifications may no longer be received on the primary Android device, causing the attempted login from Cloud Portal or iOS mobile app to instantly fail.
Workaround: Login to your Insight account using the primary Android device and disable the two-step verification Push method, then login to your account using the Insight Cloud Portal and enable SMS Verification.
To change two-step verification method on your Insight account:
- Launch the Insight app on your primary Android device.
- Tap the menu button in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Tap Account Management > Manage Profile > Login Settings > Two-Step Verification.
- Tap the Enable button so that the button displays grey.
- Access the Insight Cloud Portal. All network locations display.
- Click the account icon in the upper right corner of the page. A pop-up menu opens.
- Select Update Profile. Your profile page displays.
- Select Login Settings > Two-Step Verification. The Two-Step Verification page displays.
- Click the Enable button.
- Click the Add SMS Verification button.
- Select a country, enter a phone number (which must be capable of receiving SMS messages), and click the ADD PHONE NUMBER button.Insight sends a one-time security pair code to the phone number. The Add SMS Verification page displays.
- Enter the security pair code that you received and click the NEXT button. The phone number is verified and added to the page as the primary number for login verification. Now, each time that you log into the Cloud Portal, a login verification code is sent to the phone number and you must enter the code during the login process.
During the Cloud Portal login process, you either can let Insight send a login verification code to the phone number or you can click the Try Another Verification Method link and let Insight send a login verification code to your account email address.
