Enhancements:
This firmware release provides the following enhancements:
- Added support to enable or disable enhanced hash mode on LAGs for non-unicast traffic.
- Added support to ignore the processing of client-identifier present in a DHCP transaction.
- Added support to qualify Azure Stack HCI requirements for ‘Management’ and ‘Compute (Standard)’ profiles.
The AV UI provides the following enhancements:
- In the Network Profiles page, when you create a profile using profile templates, the “PTP residency time stamping” toggle button is present to enable or disable PTP TC setting for the profiles excluding Audio-Video AVB, SMPTE, Data, A&H, Nucleus, Sonos, Video NDI 4, Visionary, Video, and Lighting.
- A new application APP Manager is installed on the switch, the console command “show application” will only display “appmgr” with the version number. The AV UI, Rest Agent and Discovery agents are managed by App Manager.
Bug Fixes:
This firmware addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where the ‘clear config’ command causes the switch to crash. [CE-5424]
- Fixes the stack instability issue in a large network. [CE-5230]
- Fixes the issue where sometimes IGMP control packets are not processed in a large network. [CE-5999]
- Fixes the issue where PTP TC admin mode gets changed when LAG member port flaps. [CE-5686]
- Fixes the issue where AOC cable information is not correctly displayed. [MS-3989]
- Fixes the issue where the 802.1AS sync message interval of the switch is changed after a connected device is rebooted. [CE-4722]
- Fixes the issue where the switch operates in PTP TC mode and changes the previous clockId to 0 when appending own clockId in Path Trace TLV of Announce Message. [CE-5518]
- Fixes the issue where Main UI and CLI display differently when a member port of a LAG changed to tagged port from UI. [CE-5671]
- Fixes the issue where the switch hangs and becomes unresponsive in a large network. The fix is incorporated in bootcode. [CE-5686]
- Fixes the issue where DHCP binding table in Main UI and CLI does not display all IPs offered to the clients. [MS-4211]
This AV UI addresses the following bugs:
- Fixes the issue where AV UI overwrites manually configured settings when editing a profile in the AV UI. The AV UI only overwrites the profile related settings. [CE-5767]
- Fixes the issue where it is not possible to edit the IGMP Querier setting in the AV UI. [CE-5895]
- Fixes the issue where the 100G module link status displays incorrectly in AV UI. [CE-5861]
- Fixes the issue where the port configuration in dark mode displays less contrast when the mouse hovers over the port. [CE-5844]
- Fixes the issue where a manually configured trunk displays as AutoTrunk. [CE-5775]
- Fixes the issue where some ports do not display the IP addresses when the mouse hovers over the port in AV UI. [CE-5678]
Known Issues:
- When the M4350 switch connects to a M4500 MLAG domain, and the M4500 switch reboots, the AutoLAG between the M4350 and M4500 domain does not occur. [MS-4306]
Workaround: Disable and enable “lldp receive” on the LAG member ports of the M4350 switch. - The Rest Agent API (port 8443) that downloads the firmware does not work properly using “https” and “http”. [PE2-711]
Workaround: Use “tftp” to download the firmware. - The four 25G ports of models M4350-44M4X4V, M4350-24X4V, and M4350-24X4V can operate at either 25G or 10G speed but not simultaneously at 25G and 10G speed.
- A stacking link works only at the highest speed that the port supports. For example, if you configure a 25G port in stack mode, the port can operate only at 25G and not at 10G. Therefore, a stacking link cannot be established if a 25G port and a 10G port are interconnected.
- Changing the enhanced hash mode for non-unicast traffic to balance a LAG affects the LAG balance for unicast traffic.
Workaround: Do not change the enhanced hash mode for non-unicast traffic if unicast traffic is passing through the LAG.
