New Features:

  • PR60X/PR460X supports IPSec VPN client-to-site tunnels, up to 60 combined client-to-site and site-to-site IPSec VPN tunnels, and up to 32 VLANs.
  • Supports model GS510TPP, 8-Port Gigabit High Power PoE+ Smart Managed Pro Switch with 2 SFP Ports (190W).
  • Adds Sri Lanka WiFi channels for the WAX610 and WAX620 APs.
  • Supports up to three target firmware selections per device model which applies to device onboarding, scheduled firmware updates, and manual firmware updates.
  • Supports traffic optimization configuration on WiFi networks available at a location-level under Wireless > Settings > Advanced > Traffic Policies. Access points supported: WAX608Y, WAX610, WAX610Y, WAX620 and WAX630.
  • Supports a new syslog entry: The probing request and response frame exchange between wireless clients and access points. This feature is available at a location-level when a syslog server is enabled. Supported access points: WAX608Y, WAX610, WAX610Y, WAX615, WAX618, WAX620, WAX625, WAX628, WAX630E, and WAX638E.

Enhancements:

  • Wireless client roaming history: Insight shows the wireless client roaming history details where all the intermediate roamed AP hops are available under the Location > Clients > Select wireless client > Click on the Roaming History option.
  • Banner dismissal and retrieval: Now supports dismissal of a subscription notification banner to optimize the viewing space. You can retrieve a dismissed notification.
  • 802.11k/v configuration is now an independent toggle from band steering at an SSID-level configuration, under: Location > Wireless > Settings > WiFi and Captive Portal.
  • Ability to mark a switch port as an "Always Active" high-value, critical port, so that when the port goes down (even if it comes back up), you are notified. This feature is available under the switch port settings (per-port settings, batch port settings, and group port settings).

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixes the issue with storm control and egress rate limiting configuration from the switch per port settings, batch port settings, and group port settings page.
  • Fixes the issue where the connected clients per SSID widget, under the Location > Wireless dashboard, is not properly updated based on the number of connected clients to the access point.
  • Fixes the issue with the special characters configured for the basic captive portal settings for the Title, Message and EULA configuration.
  • Other bug fixes.

Known Issues:

  • Android 4.4 and older versions are not supported.
  • The number of connected WiFi clients is not displayed under the Orbi Pro satellite details on the Location > Topology page.
  • An Orbi Pro satellite does not display in the SSID view on the Location > Topology page.
  • The PoE source does not display for WAC505 or WAC510 access points on the Location > Topology page.
  • When a WAC510 access point is connected to a switch, it does not display behind the switch on the Location > Topology page.
  • The link speed does not display for the connection between WiFi clients and access points or Orbi Pro devices on the Location > Topology page.
  • The link speed and usage do not display between a BR500 router and switch on the Location > Topology page.
  • “Management mode changed to Standalone” notifications are sent intermittently for an Insight-managed access point when you reset the device from the Insight app or Insight Cloud portal.
  • The Instant Captive Portal feature does not work for clients connected to an OWE (Opportunistic Wireless Encryption) SSID on a newly onboarded access point.
    Workaround: Reapply the Instant Captive Portal configuration from Insight.
  • On an Orbi Pro device that is running firmware version 2.5.2.104 or an earlier version, you cannot log in using the Insight app when the mobile device is connected to an Orbi Pro device in Day 0 mode during setup.
    Workaround: Update the Orbi Pro device to the latest firmware.
  • Revoking the auto-reclaim feature after a factory reset is not supported for the following switch models: GC110, GC110P, GC510P, GC510PP, GC728X, GC728XP, GC752X, and GC752XP.
  • Instant Captive Portal redirection fails when the SSID name includes the # special character.
    Workaround: Rename the SSID so that it does not contain the # character.
  • On a WAC505, WAC510, WAC540, or WAC564 access point that runs a firmware version earlier than version 9.0.0.21, Instant Captive Portal redirection displays an error message when the fifth SSID is configured with the Instant Captive Portal.
    Workaround: Edit the 5th SSID without modifying any parameters and then save the configuration.
  • When you edit the SSID of an Instant Captive Portal to which one or more clients are connected, the Insight Cloud Portal displays the following error message: “Fail to upload display ad.”
    Workaround: Edit the SSID when no clients are connected to the captive portal.
  • The IPSec tunnel name is not shown in the Tunnel Up or Tunnel Down notifications.
  • The IP address for a connected neighbor device is not shown properly for the following switch models: GC110, GC110P, GC510P, GC510PP, GC728X, GC728XP, GC752X, and GC752XP.
  • The Insight Cloud Portal does not refresh when you edit an IPSec policy name, causing stale entries such as “Deleting policy” and “Creating policy” to remain visible for 5 to 8 seconds.
    Workaround:Refresh the web browser.
  • Incorrect error messages display in the Insight Cloud Portal when you try to add a new IPSec policy if the maximum number of policies was previously configured through the device UI.
  • On a PR60X or PR460X router with Dual WAN and the WAN 1 port as the active port, if you set up an IPSec Site-to-Site configuration, the local WAN IP address is blank.

New Features

  • PR60X and: PR460X Pro Routers support the IPSec Wizard to simplify the IPSec site-to-site connection setup process between Pro Routers in the same organization for Insight Pro subscribers.
  • MDU (multi-dwelling unit) deployment is now supported, requiring protected port isolation for each unit that is serviced through the following 24-port and 48-port smart switches and access points:
    GS724TPv3, GS724TPPv3, GS728TPv3, GS728TPPv3, GS752TPv3, and GS752TPPv3 smart switches and WAX625 and WAX628 access points.
  • MAC/IP Traffic filter is now supported for WiFi networks, which enables you to set up MAC/IP traffic rules for incoming and outgoing traffic, allowing or denying the traffic. This feature is supported on the Insight-managed WAX608Y, WAX610, WAX610Y, WAX620, WAX630, WBE750, and WBE758 access points.

Enhancements:

  • Insight Pro credit allocation details per organization and credits from various license keys for viewing (Allocated Credits) and download under Account Management > Credit Allocation.
  • Log Probing Clients to Syslog: A new syslog entry is now supported to log the frame exchange of the probing request and response between WiFi clients and access points. This feature is available at the location level when the syslog server is enabled on the Insight-managed WBE750 and WBE758 access points.
  • Allow Broadcast/Multicast Traffic: Now supports traffic optimization configuration on WiFi networks for the Insight-managed WBE750 and WBE758 access points. When the feature is enabled, broadcast and multicast packets are forwarded only to source MAC addresses configured in the allowed list. This feature is available at a location level under Wireless > Settings > Advanced Traffic Policies.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixes the issue where the “delete all” notifications are not working on the notifications page after you click the See All button under the bell icon at the top right corner in the top purple bar.
  • Fixes the issue where the read-only Insight Pro manager and Insight Pro owner can configure the parameters on multiple pages. The bug fix also restricts viewing the device password on the device dashboard page on the Insight Cloud Portal.
  • Other bug fixes.

Known Issues:

  • The IPSec Site-to-Site Wizard supports adding a spoke router only at the group creation level, and you cannot edit the configuration.
  • Android 4.4 and older versions are not supported.
  • The number of connected WiFi clients is not displayed under the Orbi Pro satellite details on the Location > Topology page.
  • An Orbi Pro satellite does not display in the SSID view on the Location > Topology page.
