Enhancements:
- Change Syslog time stamp format, following ISO 8601.
- When changing to Insight mode for the first time, device IP and VLAN settings are kept, no longer reset to default values.
- Adds new PoE Longer Detection Time option that modifies the PoE port detection process so that it can successfully detect certain types of PDs that take longer to respond. For example, you might notice that an attached PD fails to power up and the switch port shows as available.
- Updated help text to correct the explanation of the wildcard mask meaning under IPv4 ACL rule. A wildcard mask of 255.255.255.255 now indicates that none of bits are important. A wildcard of 0.0.0.0 indicates that all the bits are important.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixes the problem that IP configuration setting cannot accept address ending with x.x.x.255.
- Fixes an issue when port PVID configuration is set as "VLAN only", the LACP LAG won't be up.
Warnings and Instructions:
Read and follow these instructions before you update to firmware version 2.0.7.4 from an earlier version:
- After you update the firmware to version 2.0.7.4 or a later version, we recommend that you do not downgrade the firmware to version 2.0.6.x or an earlier version.
- Because HTTPS is disabled by default since firmware version 1.0.2.2, the device UI login page does not display automatically after you use HTTPS to update to firmware version 2.0.7.4. Open a new web browser tab and type the switch’s IP address to display the login page.
- In firmware version 2.0.7.4 or later versions, after you manually disable HTTPS, when you access the device UI over HTTP, you are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
- The SNMPv1/v2 default community strings “Private” and “Public” are not available in firmware version 2.0.7.4 or later versions. Before you update the firmware, set different community strings.
- In firmware version 2.0.7.4 or later versions, the authentication protocol for SNMPv3 automatically changes to “MD5” if the setting in the old firmware version is “None.”
- In firmware version 2.0.7.4 or later versions, the default setting for the Smart Control Center (SCC) management option changes from enabled to disabled. However, the SCC utility can still discover the switch.
- CAUTION: If you update model GS724TPv2 from firmware version 1.1.1.x to version 2.0.6.x, perform a series of updates in the following order:
- Update version 1.1.1.x.rom to version 1.1.50.39.rom
- Update version 2.0.0.16.img to version 2.0.6.x.bix
Configuration files are not compatible between firmware version 1.x.x.x and version 2.x.x.x.
