You may be requested by NETGEAR to enable Secure Diagnostics Mode (SDM) on your Pro Router. SDM creates a secure connection to NETGEAR Support for troubleshooting, bug investigation, and issue resolution.
By enabling Secure Diagnostics Mode, you agree to the NETGEAR Remote Access Policy.
To enable Secure Diagnostics Mode:
- Log in to the admin page of your Pro Router.
- In the address bar of your browser, enter https://<Pro_Router_IP_address>/advanced_debugging.html
- Under SDM Enable, move the slider to the on position.
- Review the terms of the Remote Access Policy and click OK.
- Click OK again.
- A 5 digit value will populate in the field under SDM Enable. Provide this value to your Support Expert.
